Network_Josh
Helen, Hi & Welcome to the Blue Room. There are many places that can hire you steel deck - it depends where you are in the country as delivery will add the most onto your costings as the stuff is not light. Steeldeck themselves in london will sell it to you - I will post there phone number back up later A few questions most pll will need to know though - how high do you want it, how many sections (its comes in 8x4 ft panels as standard), do you need steps, handrails etc. Thanks,Josh
WiLL
Call me weird, but I usually hire steeldeck, from Steeldeck in King's Cross London. And isn't there a stage flooring company called Harlequin? do they do floorcloths? Or maybe a drapery hire place like J&C Joel?
Just Some Bloke
If you need more companies to get quotes from then try: Steeldeck (to hire): LEL 01474 824267 Floorcloth (to buy): J.D. McDougal 020 8534 2921 Both come recommended.
ampcats
if you're at rwcmd, try scenic services - at the tv centre down the road Studio1 Scenedock, Television Centre, Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff, CF5 6XJTelephone or Fax: 029 2059 0160 edit: of course, this (and the 2 following posts) was merely based on seeing your mention of rwcmd in your profile - as josh said above, your location is needed - it is heavy stuff (definately heavier than my gf, but then, she won't let me walk over her!) - transport will probably cost more than the actual hire cost if it is any distance. If you want it delivered, make sure you get a quote that states if it is unloaded for you or not... those delivery boys...
Dazzler
I know that WNO have quite a few steeldeck, and a variety of painted floorcloths
time4parties
I can reccomend Network Audio - they are based near you. We hired some truss and steel deck off them last summer for a job we were doing in cardiff and they were really friendly plus they give good rates for delivery and construction PJ
