Whole Hog

Peter's right - have a look at the relevant section in the Blue Room Lighting FAQ which lists available off-line software for Hogs (among other desks), then follow the link and download the HogPC software.

It's an excellent tool for learning the desk - especially if you download the free demo of the Capture software (follow the links in the HogPC downloads section of the FPS site) which effectively gives you a 'virtual rig' to practice on!

Actually the op was asking for a WholeHog I, I have never worked whit one, but I'm willing to bet that the hog2pc wont do him much good.

I know there is a WHI in germany, but I dont know if they have it working properly.

Dont know of one in England though.

Check whit high end.

To be honest, Spantax, I think you might be mistaking "I" for "1".

I can't imagine why anybody would need to learn to operate an original Wholehog in this day and age. I'm not aware of any that are still in 'active service' in the UK (or anywhere else, for that matter), so I can't see what the point would be in learning to program one.

But if it is actually the case that the OP does indeed want a go on an old-fashioned Hog, then they should contact FPS (sorry, HES) directly - they used to, and I think still do, have one in their offices hooked up to a VL1.

Is there anyone in the London area who has a Whole Hog I can have a go on? I need to learn the basics of the desk pretty quickly.

Many thanks to all of you. I found the link about 5mins after posting my message. Although the download I got was corrupted. I got a clean one from Flying Pig/ High End, so now I'm programming like a programming thing. Many thanks to all who offered advice.

There is at least one, maybe 2... last time I saw one in use was on "Big Brother" when it was at 3 Mills Studios - probably 4/5 years ago...
