lucy_ironside
Or try "The Printed Word" on Wendell Way in Acton. You can buy one cover from them and then make up more yourself. it's many years since my ASM days but I do recall that I used to get blank newsprint free of charge from a large printworks - they are usually happy to give you the end of a roll if you sweet talk them and promise a mention in the proramme. You can cut this to size, spraymount it to an ordinary piece of paper - say, A3 size - and it should run through the photocopier absolutely fine. Then you just peel it off the ordinary paper. Voila, as many photocopied covers as you want and the paper has that authentc colour.
nina
Try Data Reprographics - 01784243996 (based in Ashford, Middlesex but everything can be done by post). Very helpful & have a stock of old papers they will copy for about £5 for a 2 page front & back cover. It gets more expensive if they have to do any artwork but just call them & have a chat as they often come up with solutions you may not have considered. They also sell plain newsprint but you'll need access to a large photocopier & I've always found it more trouble than it's worth. Something I've done recently is to paste my own title & headlines & pictures (found on-line) onto a newspaper which wasn't quite right but ok, and got Data to re-copy it onto newsprint & this worked really well, especially as the paper was not seen up close. There's also a company called Historic Newspapers - www.historic-newspapers.co.uk. I havnt used them but their website says they research & supply papers. Also, there's a British Newspaper Archive in Colindale, North London, which you can visit - www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/visits/colindale.html
