Need some help from all you lighting experts. Am doing a piece set in a jazz club in 1952. What did stage lights look like? What can I get away with seeing? I know some theatres have pretty old stock but not quite that old. I would like to know which lights may not have really changed much that I might still be able to borrow/hire. I have had a pootle around on google but not much luck so far. Thanks in advance for any info.

p.s. we are near bradford so if anyones has anything suitable we can borrow in the leeds, bradford, manchester area that would be even better!

I have a pile of about 12 Patt. 23's/123's which might be available. Won't find out wether they can go for 2 weeks, but PM me if you're interested.

Edit: Note to self: Read posts fully next time. Still, if anyone else is interested in these, just shout.

In my experience jazz club lighting *now* still looks like its from the 50s! Well, 70s at least. Pinspots and recessed downlighters anyone? Don't put too much effort into making it look like there was a lot of lighting there!
