Brian
I can't find my Lee swatchbook at the moment so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a Lee gel which simulates a sodium streetlight?
Stu
I seem to recall someone using L179 to simulate street lights before... (For the particuarly orange ones). HTH Stu
dbuckley
Lowpressure sodium streetlights (the yellow ones, a/k/a LPS, SOX) give off monochromatic light at 589nm, a feat you will find impossible to duplicate with any filter. Because they are monochromatic, they make a scene rendered in black and yellow, with no other colours present. You probably dont want to duplicate streetlighting to that effect, so any yellowy or orangy colour will do, as long as it looks right with whatever else you've got going on. High pressure sodium streetlights (a/k/a HPS, SON) give off almost full spectrum light, not dissimilar to a warm wash, maybe a bit skewed towards orange
Tomo
Last time we went for L101 - it's not perfect (too much at the red end), but it's about as close as Lee get.
si_cole
Off the top of my head, I have used L105 (Medium Amber) or I think L158 (which IIRC is a bit darker). Hope that helpsSi
ampcats
Note from the moderators : this member has deleted/edited several of his posts in a fit of pique. Apologies if it makes the thread harder to follow - we've reinstated what we can, but the newer ones hadn't been cached so there's nothing we can do about them.
