duntokin
hi can anyone tell me the difference (if any ) between a par 36 acl and a par 36 dwe ? and could I use par 36 acl's in a 8 lamp blinder? ( as they're a lot cheaper ) thanks
Just Some Bloke
ACL = very narrow spotDWE = medium flood Both are acceptable in blinders, but it's best if all your lamps are the same.

Stu
Don't forget to find out how your blinders are wired as ACL lamps are 28v so need wiring in series in sets of 8, and DWEs are 120v so need wiring in series in sets of 2. HTHStu
Doug kelly
The DWE's are also 120v while the Acl's are 28v You will need to wire the all 8 of the acls in series rather than pairs in series for the DWE's. The Acls look great in blinders very directional Doug Edit Damn beaten to it by 2 minutes
niclights
and AFAIK DWE's are 650W, ACL are 250W. Personally I find the ACL's do not give anywhere nice an effect, unless you specifically want the directional.
duntokin
thanks everybody - really usefull advice / info. probably go with the acl's - to load the unit with the dwe's will cost a bomb
