lonfire
Hi guys,I need to know how far a lighting bar should be hung bellow a roof.. part of the roof is plaster board and the other part is wood.. we are running CCT minuette profiles, multipars, a couple of par cans, and minuette fresnels.. nothing about 650w.. I've looked at cct's website but I can't see a recomended distance from other items.. we are having some IWB's installed and the powers that be (council) are asking for drop distances.. any ideas? thankschris
Liam FitzG
Afternoon,It is normally printed on the side of the lantern it's self. I just had a look here and Thomas PAR64s say 0.5m to the nearest surface, Strand SLs and Quartet Fs which would be close to your CCT equipment are 0.3m mounting distance.I would be inclinded to tell them that you want the wood fire treated any way, just to cover your self, incase you haven't already. The fire regs over here (Ireland) say that you need two layers of plaser board equivelant to 30mm. But that would be something to check with your local council. Liam
lonfire
hi liam,I will check that.. thanks.. I guess thats 0.3m and 0.5m from the fixture itself not the yoke.. I wonder why they don't show this info on the spec sheets? I'll check my lights when I get a chance see what they say on them.. thankschris
