Robe Scan 1200XT

Hi all,

Just looking at purchasing either Robe Scan 575xt's or the 1200xt's I have used the 575XT's in other venues and am very impressed with the reliability and the light output also the feature list is quite good. However the venue I am at now is bigger so will require something abit more powerfull. The reason I am posting on this forum is to ask is there anything better than the Scan 1200XT in terms of features and reliability that people know of and also if any alternatives falls in the £1500.00 or less per projector price range for all those sales reps on the forum I am looking at getting 12 of whatever product ends up being the prefered choice.

The only reason that the projectors have to be moving mirror is they will be installed in an ice rink and I have found in the past that moving heads and ice rinks do get along, especially in fixed permanent installations. Also I do not want to be running a rig of feature rich lights that are stuck in the home position due to rusted or siezed pan/tilit bearings or motors.

Cheers

Chris

Having done quite a few temp lighting installs I would say its very difficult to install any moving lights in an ice rink

Depending on the environment - some are very harsh, others have been much nicer I would really look for another alternative though I know there are not many out there

We usually keep the heads on at all times with some kind of movement, and just lamp them off when not being used though this is still not ideal. The problem is the moisture builts up inside them

Robe fixtures are your best bet though as they seem to hold up better than the others we have tried. Send me a PM if your interested on getting 12 priced up for you
