Paul Graham
Hi allI had a bad morning yesterday! I put the kettle on and asked one of my students to power up the desk. Before I even tasted my first sip of Java Lava I had lost the power supply to my express 125. I had a look at it and discovered blown fuse, resistor and chip. I put it down to a surge (surge protector now on order!). I contacted my usual supplier, who were great (AC lighting in Leeds). The quoted me £78 and promised to have it here by Friday. With a tech rehearsal on Thursday and an unfocused rig - I began to perspire. Being a resourceful young chap I googled the part number. http://www.componentforum.co.uk/bargains.html They have 650 on clearance and can get them to you before 1pm the next day all for under £25. I have received mine and there is no difference between it and the expensive ETC version. I'm not sure if its a standard supply for all ETC desks, the part number is CL25 - 7618V1: +5.1v 2.5AV2: +/- 12v 1Awith an 8 pin output connection. Grab yourself a bargin! It may say you a few quid.
