jfitzpat
You have to replace the programmed memory chip inside the unit (EPROM or EEPROM). You can either: 1. Buy the chip2. Download the contents (usually a 'hex' or 'bin' file)3. Program the chip (requires programming hardware4. Install it Or... 1. Order a programmed chip from a dealer2. Install it I'm not sure why they did not make the unit flash upgradable. These days there really is no cost benefit of a socketed ROM chip over a surface mounted flash memory chip. I hope that helps. -jjf

david.elsbury
I believe you need a programmer that connects to your serial (RS232) port.
Ellis
Some component suppliers will do a device programming service at a price (you send them the data and pay for part and service).
bruce
As the previous posters say, you can burn the image to an eprom if you have access to an eprom programmer. But not many people do these days... Alternatively, talk to Behringer via their support website - I found them very helpful, and they sent out a new eprom free-of-charge. However, you should note that that particular version of code (v1.06) is the one that exhibits the problems that were discussed earlier in this thread. So unless you have a specific requirement (eg the channel 25/26 mapping thing) I'd think twice about upgrading.
benweblight
think youve scared me off their ** laughs out loud **, shall wait for them to fix upgrade
dbuckley
If you cant find anyone with a programmer (and I'm 12K miles away from you guys, so I cant do it for you!) then RS do a supply and burn service, you supply them the file, they burn, you get a ready-to-run EPROM. According to my early 2004 catalogue(!), setup is 20 quid, with a per device chare of 50p. More info from the EPROM Programming Department on 01536 405545 Unless, of course, RS have dumped this service...
