There used to be a tool shop called Murray up at South Clerk Street near the Queens Hall. There's also McMillan Brothers on Jane Street in Leith but I've never been in there. gnomatron Posted March 27, 2006 Share Posted March 27, 2006 possibly a bit late, but for reference; There is indeed a murrays tools by the eicc, and one on clerk street. Also the maplin as linked. Edinburgh bargain stores on clerk street is worth a look too, as is homebase, which is on st.leonards (go straight up the road from the pleasance, away from the royal mile/high street).
