we have a strand mx lighting desk which is coming up with error message 1388.It also gives us some diagnostic info which fluctuates between DDDD and FFDD. We have changed the battery on the PCB but still get this error message,

anyone got a suggestion.Have spoken to strand lighting and they thought it could have been battery

the desk is an early model and is connected to dimmers through dx54

Hi there,

On a Strand MX, Error 1388 is a fader module fault,

From the Manual:

"A fault has been detected in the fader module connections"

Cause: "Fader Module Cable fault or invalid ID switch combination."

HTH a bit

If the desk has been working in the past, and then suddenly it doesn't, then I would have thought that it's unlikely to be a switch combination. If you're going to have a look inside, make sure that all the cables between the modules are seated right.

In the manual, it says that the desk does the fader connections test at every power up, with the possible error number of 1388. (around abouts page 76 in the manual.
