jayselway
Hi there, On a Strand MX, Error 1388 is a fader module fault, From the Manual: "A fault has been detected in the fader module connections" Cause: "Fader Module Cable fault or invalid ID switch combination." HTH a bit  Jay
jonol2106
thanks for info however desk still does not work. How can we check if there is an invalid ID switch combination
jayselway
If the desk has been working in the past, and then suddenly it doesn't, then I would have thought that it's unlikely to be a switch combination. If you're going to have a look inside, make sure that all the cables between the modules are seated right. In the manual, it says that the desk does the fader connections test at every power up, with the possible error number of 1388. (around abouts page 76 in the manual.
