matt9150
Hi, I am having problems trying to split 2 monitors to one particular PC I have. I am using a Daxten powered Monitor splitter. It works when it is pluged in the Laptop but I get a blank screen when plugged into the PC The VGA card in the PC is a Gforce card. Do I have to change any setting on the PC for it to work

Tomo
We're getting very cloe to PC stuff here... It depends on your graphics card and OS. Under XP you right-click on an empty bit of the desktop, select 'Properties', 'Settings' tab. This is where the resolution is set/viewed.For refresh rate, click the 'Advanced' buttonThere is usually a tab called 'Monitor' - this gives a refresh rate drop-down box. However, there are other ways that depend on your graphics card.nVidia (GeForce) under winXP has 'nView' drivers that allow you to change everything. You can access it by getting up the 'Advanced' window as above and choosing the tab named after your graphics card, and there is sometimes an nVidia icon by the clock on the taskbar which gives you direct access to the resolution and refresh rate settings. matt9150
Ive tried the reflesh rate and resolution, with no luck, is it possible that the VGA card is no compatible with the operating system which is Win98, or is there some other setting I could try
david.elsbury
IIRC you need Win 98 Second Edition in order to get dual monitor support.
