Pete Alcock
I've been given 8 plastic buckets each with a Pan Scan in (swivelly mirror that fixes on to the front or a Par 64), with the challenge of converting the whole outfit to three channels of DMX (Rotate, Pan and Home). Despite being old, these things are apparently awesome with ACLs, but with the proprietary 4 pin XLR analogue control cable, it's a pain to deploy them as part of a normal rig. I think the interfacing should be fairly straightforward but I can't get any reply from MA Lighting, the people that make neat little DMX interface PCBs. Anybody know of an equivalent that is simple and works, or if anyone in the UK distributes MA PCBs? Spec is at least 2, analogue outputs plus one variable or switched output, from DMX in. Thanks, Pete.
