Jamie Everington
How is the best way to cover wooden rostra?I am doing Arabian nights for my AS Drama, and we have some wooden topped rostra. We can't paint the stuff because it belongs to the school but is a horrible 'woody' colour. We have access to black material, how is the best way of attatching it, bearing in mind we can't desroy them <_<
Tomo
We used sheets of hardboard pinned to the surface last time we hired some allydeck that they didn't want us to paint. Once the hardboard was down we could do what we wanted to it.
shaune71
Hi I agree that the best way to do it is pin some hardboard down to the rostra as it works very well nad you can paint any colour you like. We had the same problem for lysistrata but we sorted it out with the hardboard looked great. Good LuckShaun
DSA
Indeed, Hardboard all the way. And for when you can't pin it, Gaffer Tape works fine. David
Dazzler
Are you only covering the tops? Just remember that if you want to cover the sides, you will need to consider using a fire proofed material. Dazzler
