Pheamer
Hi Guys, was wondering if there are any charts or similar paperwork avaliable for mixing CMY. Example. A quick way to get Lee 141 by not taking the time to fiddle and experiment. C == 35 M == 67 Y == 3 Does that makes sense? Let me know. Tomo
Don't think so - I think CMY tables would be a closely guarded secret by console and printer manufacturers, as it represents a lot of work. However, on the Lee website there is an approximate Lee->RGB conversion - grab the pixel colour from the online swatchbook. It's not great, but it's a start. Then you'll need to use an approximate RGB to CMY colour space conversion calculation, which is vaguely described in this Wikipedia article. As the article says, the colour space is very different.Actual gel has an infinite colour space, but CMY has a very limited a digitised colour space, so any conversions are necessarily approximate. edit - beaten to it! Seems that Carlos is very, very generous!
