Durham Gala theatre tech spec

Before I get flamed to death, I've been phoning & leaving messages all week for them to contact me but nothing as yet. I've got a show coming up there next month & am meeting the organisers over the weekend so it would be nice if I had some inkling of what the venue is like. Can anyone shed any light?

Despite it featuring in my university dissertation about 3 years ago, I can't actually remember much about the place, except that it's vastly over-spec'd for the type of venue and programme. I believe the auditorium is fully recofigurable, as is the stage. When I contacted them (admittedly 3+ years ago), they had a full tech spec and plans available. I'll have a hunt through my things and see if I can find anything, although I don't think I kept the plans.

 

(EDIT) Actually, I think I got the plans off the website, as I don't think they were very co-operative on the phone. At the time, the venue was in financial crisis so I don't think they wanted to talk to me! It seems their website is currently being re-done, so I can't help any further, sorry.

Last time I was there they were running on skeleton tech staff due to the financial problems it faced, as far as I knew there weren't any there unless really needed. It's run by the same council as Darlington Civic Theatre now I think, so that might be an avenue to try.
