dekw1
Dare I try using an msd250/2 in my Martin 400's ?I use them in my 218's and there are no problems, but I am concerned that the extra heat may damage the electoinics in the 400's as they are nearer to the lamp. Will the heat produced be that much greater than the present msd200's ?' Cheers Dek. :)
Tomo
Sheesh. Never, EVER use a different discharge lamp than the one(s) recommended by the manufacturer of the fixture. It may work, but it will probably burn oddly giving low lamp life / poor output / excessive heat / premature ignitor failure, it may simply fail to strike, or it may explode with great violence and destroy the inside of the fixture. And if it does, you lose. Badly.Roboscan 218s haven't been made for years, so it's probably hard to get spares for them. Out of interest, which other Martin fixture do you mean anyway? The Robocolour 400 is the only thing I can find with '400' in the name - would that be the one?
