Looks like one of any number of those re-badged lighting desks…

3-pin DMX out and sometimes limitations on channels etc., but they work. Programming ain't the easiest!

Guessing the selling point is they build and program whatever you need into the rack, and it's a couple of button presses to get things to happen.

I think you have hit the nail on the head there Adam. That certainly looks like one of their LX options. The one with the LCD screen is slightly different,  it likely the same concept though, with a bought in console under a custom front panel.

Thanks for all the other comments. I agree on the lack of cut sheets, but I think this is a conscious decision by stage electrics to be thin on detail and heavy on photos / marketing.

  2. Hello,

I’ve been looking into the Opus Quintet solution for small venues and I’m wondering if anyone has any opinions on how the lighting control has been implemented?

I’m thinking that there’s likely a basic console behind the front panel, but interested to gather the thoughts of others and potentially identify what’s “under the hood”

it seems that there are a few versions that are used. Some have a small lcd display, others don’t but have more preset / scene buttons.

anyway, thoughts / comments greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Tim
