You used to be able to get some really weird stuff for TV cameras.  I got a long run when a TV research lab shut.  Can't quite remember what it had in it, but certainly power, balanced audio, RF coax, and some sort of data connections.  And there were several flavours of the above too!

There are some publishers who would seek out your ghost to sue if you publish their works without consent (which they won't give you). The "MOUSE" is one of them...

I've just seen how £prestigious a 747 is now.  No idea what we paid  for ours, but it wasn't 1/4 of that!!

Mine are AT LEAST 15 years old; probably north of 20.

747s in the age of mobile phones - I'd not be buying more unless they've done something to cure the susceptibility to picking up network handshakes!

@Neil Hampson I've got one of these open on my bench.

 I also see very little "smoke", but am getting some.  Fluid pump pumps in spurts, then a T piece, one leg to the heater, one through what I'd guess is a one way valve  from the air pump.  That might be for purging the heater?  Or boosting the pressure?

Anyway, did you get anywhere with yours?

If it is a loop, then both ends should be at the same place?  No?

Been there, done that, AND failed (once).

You know, the simplest method might be to read your meter immediately prior to, and after a performance.  OK, there will be other loads (catering, public space lighting etc) but those figures can probably be cancelled out by doing a similar exercise on a non-event day.

One of the teaching unions had guidance.  It was some years ago (and projectors weren't as bright then!) and their case is somewhat different.  I'll see if I can find it.

First thoughts -

Is there any DMX input on the house light dimmer?  Are they patched?  Is there a "change over" switch to allow DMX or local control?

Looks like a DIN speaker plug to me!  LED versions of the lamp are available, but that would dictate what type of power supply (rather than a transformer) you'd need.

Well, IF you join the sockets together internally with the equivalent of 2.5mm sq copper, then it should be do-able.

MK used to do green indicators for the Grid Switch range.  They may still do so...

I loved the 747 for lecterns.  However, unless there's a new model, they HATE mobile phones.  Well, actually, they love them and want to broadcast every handshake with the network to your audience.

Local news said that it was being dismantled.  I wonder if someone decided to take out too many longitudinal / cross members too early?

AND... Isn't there an indicator for "good earth" on the ballast of lantern*?  I wonder how that plays with PAT.

I'd certainly understood it to be a "test so you know what it sounds like" rather than "does it work".  In my case, both are still "no".
