What we are looking for Being an event production manager is not easy. Here’s what we’re looking for; you will need to be able to demonstrate all of these things. You need to be highly organised, our deadlines can’t move! You’ll be able to communicate effectively with the CEOs of large organisations just as well as with the technical teams we work with around the world. You can demonstrate a high level of IT literacy and are able to pick up and learn new software quickly. We’ve been doing a lot of that lately! You are technically minded, you don’t need to know it all (nobody does), but you do need to be able to understand complex technical solutions, explain them clearly and apply them appropriately. An enthusiasm for a new challenge and a hunger to learn new skills is hugely important. The events industry and our company have changed beyond recognition in the last two years, being able to adapt is more important now than ever before. You might be a senior technician within the events industry looking for a new challenge, or you may be someone looking to move into events from a related area such as broadcast or theatre. You may have a few years as a production manager under your belt already and want to join us as we grow over the coming years. A large proportion of your work is likely to be in venues in and around London, so we need you to be able to travel to Central London regularly. If you have the background and skills outlined, and would relish working in a great team, please email recruitment@wearebroadsword.com with your latest CV, and a cover letter explaining why you would like to be considered for the role.
