  1. Looking at the schematic they share a common regulator - IC013. It's too long ago that I looked inside one of these so I can't tell you exactly where it is but it is on the FD board and will be close to where the faders connect. There should be 12V on the input and 10V on the output of the chip - it's a 7810. If fader 15 is working then there's little else in the hardware that would affect just that pair. You can download the service manual from elektrotanya.com and the faders are bottom right corner of page 154. Happy hunting

Edit: C052, C053 and C038 are on the output of the regulator so they would also be suspect short. Either of the driver chips will also affect the other if they have gone short too and if that's the case then you could check the voltage across the 10 ohm resistors R026 and R027 to determine which one.

Hi Dave. Thanks for the response. Sadly I do not have the equipment nor technical know-how on how to fix this. As far as I got was removing the board (Image: https://ibb.co/L6nzL6M) but from their honestly, I have no idea what to do. I'll have to take it along to my local repair shop when they can open up. But I'll give them the information you gave me there. Thank you very much.

  2. So I recently got a Yamaha 01V digital desk and it works flawlessly apart from one thing. The two stereo faders (Faders 13 and 14) don't move an inch. Even when doing the little built-in test they don't move and show "NG" on the screen. They still function audio-wise but just no movement. Does anyone have any idea what this issue could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. smile.gif
  3. The dreaded Varta V150 chemical time bomb. RS stock no. 422-393

Edit: I should have said "V150 3.6V" for completeness as the V150 designation covers some other voltages. The RS stock number is still correct for the 3.6V part.

    Thanks, ill get that ordered
