Sounds like it could have just been overtightened.. There shouldn't be anything else hiding on there. Ideally mating it to a panel connector then using a strap wrench, that should get it off...

As IRW has suggested, if you connect it to a panel connector (ideally), that'll help give you a bit of leverage. Exploded diagram as below to assist.

Asking on behalf of a chap who may be along shortly..! Looking for 4 Motorised barndoors for use with the Martin Mac 2000. They're pretty rare it seems but hoping someone on here might have some lying around that they're looking to sell? Thanks

Check out the Spotlight CycLED. Throws out a huge amount of light. I only used one to light up a wall about 10 x 8M
