  1. Hi All. Once again I am in need of your help and opinions. I have about 25 Par 36's that I am looking to get working again. The idea is to have about 4 permanently wired bars with 5/6 units on each. I have tried looking for 240v Par 36 (or similar size) lamps but with no positive result. I have managed to find 12v lamps but they don't give the Wattage that I was hoping for and NSP aren't commonly available anymore. Standard 28v ACL lamps are also an option but this would mean wiring in series and I was hoping to have individual control of each unit. I have come across an option that I was fairly optimistic about and that was the Tungsram LED Par 30 Lamp. Unfortunately, these come with a lovely bit of residual current so would never really look great as an aesthetic thing when going to blackout for example. Does anyone have any other ideas or can share experiences before I settle for a not so perfect solution? Many Thanks.
  2. Hi All. I'm Looking for suggestions for somewhere to hire Dimmable Candles from in the UK. Will be needed for February 2021, roughly 25 church style candles. Would need to be dimmable and supplied with the controller. Many thanks.
  3. Hi All. Hope everyone is keeping well and as busy as possible. I have recently come across 25 Used, Long Nose Par 36's. I am planning on stripping them all back and creating 4 ACL IWB bars, each with 5 units on. Some of the units came with old, Low voltage ACL lamps, which I am slightly unsure what to do with. I am interested in wiring each unit on the bar separately for individual control, but I can't seem to find any lamps anywhere that aren't low voltage, 6.4v, 12v etc. I was just wondering if anyone had a solution where I would be able to wire these units into a bar, but still have individual dimmer control over them, Considering all of my stock dimmers are 15amp. I know this may seem like a bit of a simple question to some people, it's been a while and wanted to keep the memory of Pars alive and kicking. Many Thanks In advance. David.
  4. Thank you for this. The link doesn't seem to be working anymore. Would you mind re-linking to the suggested product or dropping the name of it for me Please. Many Thanks.
  5. Hi Guys, I have organised all of my cables as I've been going along and purchasing them / making them up. Each cable has been wrapped with a different colour LX tape to show what length the cable is. I have also ordered asset labels for each item. I am yet to find a successful solution for wrapping the labels to protect and preserve them. I need to find some sort of clear plastic / vinyl wrap that will seal the labels / LX tape and protect them for slightly longer. I have tried using Premium clear dance floor tape but this wasn't very successful and just pealed at the end. Any ideas or previous experiences? Before anyone suggests ordering the proper Le-Mark labels and cable wraps, these are well out of our budget and slightly extortionate. Much appreciated. David.
  6. Absolutely. They are brilliant and top spec for the price. Can't beat them for quick and easy DJ, school setups etc. Only downfall is the size and weight but a trolley of some sort makes light work of that. If you did want a solution for circular / regular scaff as the T-Bar, I can now recommend the Powerdrive 35mm adapters.
  7. Hi Everyone. I was just wondering what everyone uses, or would suggest using, to treat and paint some modular stage floor boards. I have 24, 1 metre squared floorboards. They are roughly 30mm thick, layered plywood. They will be used in indoor and outdoor settings. Although they would be covered inside a marquee or something similar, they would still be exposed to moisture and outdoor conditions. I was looking for a solution for painting one side of them Matt black, as the other side is already carpeted and finished. I would need to protect the wood from water damage, making them easy to clean when they get muddy etc. What treatments, paints would everyone recommend. Many Thanks. David C.
  8. Afternoon Everyone! I was just wondering if there was anyone out there who was aware of companies still selling Par 36's. Looking for some long nose Par 36's, preferably in black. Could be second hand or new, I'm just interested in finding out where I could possibly find some. Many Thanks. David.
  9. Evening all! I have just purchased 2 Varytec Wind up stands from Thomann (The link is below). They are rated to hold 85kg each and wind up to 4 metres. They are supplied with square T-bars as standard. I am looking for a solution to be able to use a length of Aluminium scaff as a T-bar, which I have, I just can't seem to find the appropriate adaptor or hardware which enables me to hang the scaff. I have looked at a couple of products from Doughty which I believe would work together, Please see the links below. I don't want to spend a fortune, but of course I don't want to scrimp when it comes to quality. Can anyone advise anything or has experience with creating solutions for T-Bars on lighting stands. 10. Hi All, May seem like a really stupid question but I just wanted to make sure before making any decisions. I want to put a Betapack and A DMX splitter into a rack flightcase and just wanted to know if this would cause any issues. I've made patch panels before where the two have been in close proximity to each other therefore causing grounding and signal issues. I believe this is a common rack solution but just wanted to be sure. Many Thanks.
  11. Just wondering what everyone uses and would suggest to use for cleaning the exterior of lighting fixtures. I've got some source 4's, floods, pars etc that could do with a bit of a clean on the outside just to give them a bit of a new look. Any special cleaners etc? Thanks Guys.
  12. Looking for solutions to asset labels. Would people say it's easier to buy a label printer and print my own or is it better to just order them online. I'm looking for sticky labels which I can have my company logo on as well as a barcode and an Asset Number. Does anyone have any recommendations? Any websites, companies etc. Thanks in Advance.
  13. Hi, I've recently come across 4 acrylic boxes around 75cm Cubed. I want to turn them into light boxes that will be used on stage for school and amateur dramatic companies. The boxes are strong enough to stand on and have lids which are hinged. I'm looking for ideas on how to frost the sides of them to create a nice even spread of light and colour. I would also like suggestions for Fixtures that I can place inside but would want them to battery powered and wireless DMX. The fixtures would need to create an all round spread of light and would be great if they're at least RGBW. If anyone has any information, suggestions or photos of similar which have been done in the past then it would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance. David.
