  1. Hi

We have no experience with lighting so would appreciate some advice please.

We have a scenario where someone stands at a lectern and delivers a presentation( no PowerPoint etc with it). When streaming this the lighting is poor especially on the face. We have space to mount some lighting about 5 meters in front of the lectern at a height of about 3 meters.

What sort of lighting should we purchase? We want something that will just improve the general lighting level of where the standing person without having to adjust for different height people. The lighting should not be so bright that it blinds them so some sort of brightness level adjustment would be good.

If I get a chance on Monday I'll test my phone with the Interspace USB BalBox at work - it's a really simple class compliant USB audio interface with 2 XLR outs, and is ideal for things like this.

If you could test that it would be great as we have used that box before as well...I'm pretty sure someone on this forum gave me the link to it after the Peavey USB device was discontinued.

  3. Thanks for the ideas. I wonder I we could use THIS combined with THIS

The iphone is used for streaming to YouTube but the audio woul dbe much nicer if taken directly from PA system.

  4. Hi

Is there a way to feed audio from the XLR output of a mixer to an iphone?

I've seem some standalone systems on Amazon where you you have a wireless mic linked to a usb-c reciever but we want to feed audio directly from the mixer to an iphone.

  5. Hi All

I'm after suggestions for active PA speakers that can be linked together with bluetooth or similar wireless option.

We would need the ability to link 2-4 speakers together. I know a wired link is an option but just want to explore wireless options first.

    Thanks

  6. The plot thickens. IAG group/Wharfedale sent an email saying this morning saying that they think that I may have the passive version of the speakers instead of the 100/70v version. They are looking in to it further.

  7. Just to update this the method of plugging the Rode Go transmitter in to the mixer XLR oputput an and the receiver in to the camera worked fine after adjusting the levels on the output & camera. The camera is getting nice clean audio with no cables across the floor.

  8. Now it finally makes sense! Thanks for all the input. It seems like the speakers had the stickers on for the i4 rather than the i4T but suprised the supplier got the terminals wrong as they sell a lot of 100v equipment.

  9. using the 2KΩ setting

    T1 & T2 = 1.008

    T1 & T3 - just displays a 1

    T1 & T4 - Just displays a 1

    T2 &T4 - 0.013

    Using the 200Ω setting

    T1 & T2 = 1.008

    T1 & T3 - just displays a 1

    T1 & T4 - Just displays a 1

    T2 &T4 - Just displays a 1

    This is the meter

  10. I have access to an impedance meter used for testing 100v systems. These are the reading I get with it set at 20k

    T1 & T2 = 1.04k

    T1 & T3 = 2.24K

    T1 & T4 = 4.74K

What has confused me is that that supplier has advised that to run the speaker at 100v 25w it is T2 live & T4 common which shows 1.04K on the meter and seems to go against the manual (if I ignore the ++-- markings on the speaker)

  11. The 4 doesn't come with the selector switch. The tap is set depending on which terminals you use.

The place I purchased it from have just said for 100v 25w T2 is live and T4 is common 😕

  12. Hi

I just needed to sense check this please as it is the first time using this speaker.

The connection terminal labelling is different on speaker vs manual. The full manual can be viewed here.

At 100v am I right in saying that these are the correct connections if we say T1 is at the top and T4 at the bottom?

    100v 25w - Live T3 & Common T1

    100v 12.5w - Live T4 & Common T1

What is making me doubt this is that T1 which is common if I am right above has a + next to it on the speaker.

  13. Hi

I'm struggling to find a 200mm gooseneck to fit THIS mount.

The only one I could find was THIS one but the thread is too small to fit the mount. Is there an adaptor available to allow me to fit it to the mount?

    Any suggestions please?
