Richie Love
Hi all,Quick one, anyone got a wiring diagram for 4pin lemo connector, I've got a set of S4000's that use the lemo connector and want to make an adapter to female 1/4 jack for dome instruments, has anyone fine this before or know anywhere that does them, I'm happy to make them just need them a wiring guide.Cheers
sandall
There was a thread about these a few months ago.
sandall
Pin 1 = Ground, Pin 2 = +9V, Pin3 = Audio + 9V, Pin 4 = Audio, so mics with 2-core cable use pins 1, 2 & 4 and mics with 1-core cable use pins 1 & 3. You will either need to use an XLR (XLR pins 1+3 & 2 to Lemo pins 1 & 4) & a DI box, or make a resistive pad inside the jack plug (something like 10k - 20k in series & 470R - 1k across the input). richardash1981
And in pictures here Trantec Lemo PinoutJust bear in mind that the pin numbers on the above document (and the original manual) are reversed compared to the ones Lemo themselves use! If you look at the ring-and-tail marking on the plug, the ring is around pin 1, then the tail goes off 2, 3, etc. That is with the Lemo numbers. With reference to the Trantec documents, the ring is around pin 4 and the tail goes 3, 2, etc.Guess who built a reversed adaptor for their beltpack ... The other note is that if you leak DC onto Pin 4 then you loose audio - it's a DC coupled audio input!

Edit: the CH38 replacements are S5's not 4000's
