  1. The Arts Theatre are looking to employ a deputy Technical Manager which is a full time position. The Arts Theatre is a busy theatre with performances 7 days a week and host day hire events which run on top the main house show. The Deputy Technical Manager will support the Technical Manager in the smooth running and operation of the main stage at the Arts Theatre. The role will take responsibility for regular show cover on the resident production and other external hires which may take place within the theatre space. Building management will also fall under this position, requiring the individual to act as a venue keyholder, fire marshal and duty technician for a range of activities onsite. Due to the nature of this position, evening and weekend work will be required including Sundays. Duties and responsibilities • Duties will include technical support for the shows, supporting get ins/ get out, provide technical support to daytime hires and technical cover. • The role requires knowledge of how-to set-up and operation of sound/ lighting equipment for a variety of events and shows. • Be able to work as part of a team in the main house or work alone in the studio Space. • The role will also include general PPM of the venue and its entities. • Someone who is energetic and brings a positive mindset to all tasks and projects. • Essential skills: ETC ION programming, set up and operate a sound system and counterweight and hemp flying. • A willingness to help and learn, be a team player and good communication skills Qualifications, experience and characteristics • A background in technical theatre, production, or electrical welfare • A proven track record in managing tasks towards deadlines • Administrative efficiency and attention to detail • Strong communication skills and ability remain calm under pressure • A keen eye for detail supported by absolute accuracy in the execution of tasks, with strong numeracy and literacy skills • Familiarity with the theatre environment • A confident self-starter, capable of working on own initiative and to strict deadlines. Working conditions Management position: the candidate will be expected to work on a roster basis on a variety of shift patterns issued by the Technical Manager. Physical requirements Some physical labour required for this position including manual handling and lifting. All activities will be appropriately risk assessed and advised in advance. Position: Duty Technician Responsible to: Technical Manager and Theatre Manager Closing Date: Sunday 24th November 6pm Rate of Pay: £11.45 per hour Employment term: This is a fixed term contract minimum 20 hours per week commencing 02 December 2019 for 6 months. Due to the nature of the role, evening and weekend work will be required. The Arts is an independent commercial theatre situated in the heart of London’s West End, providing a dynamic programme of entertainment of all genres. Our main house is a 350-seat proscenium arch theatre which has been in operation since 1927. We also operate Above the Arts, a private members bar and performance space on the first floor. The Arts is also home to Rooms at the Arts, two bright and airy studios available for hire for rehearsals and workshops, as well as office space for hire & the Covent Garden Cocktail Club. Role Overview The Arts theatre is looking for a duty technician to help the technical Manager support all shows and associated work. Candidates must have the following essential skills: ETC ION programming, set up and operate a sound system and counterweight and hemp flying. The candidate must have a proven experience in Flying.   3. It looks like the ivy is for sale and the price will be around the £200.00. There is a lot it, I am not going to try and describe how much there is but I hope to get some photos of the set so you can see for yourself how it was used. The ivy was flamebar for the production.
