  1. The K1 has a Black Level setting, try adjusting this
  2. Morning All - Ideas, please If got a UK based client that wants to go live with a 250 car drive-in move 3-month project within the next two weeks... The big stumbling block is the Audio The options I've come up with so far are: 1) FM transmission to cars - Can't be done legally in the time as it is up to a 10 week lead on getting a temporary licence if they give you one at all, Not worth the risk doing it without a licence as our friends at Ofcom will be pouncing on popup drive-in movies as an easy target. 2)Silent disco beltpacks connected to rechargeable speakers, no one in UK has stock and china are saying 6 weeks to manufacture and import. 3)Streaming to an app - Can be done there is low latency kit out there aimed at the US sports bar market but relies on people to bring their own device ...... Does anyone else have any other ideas on what will work?
  3. Ok , ive only checked this plan on the offline editor but I have a way of doing it on an x32, 1) Pair your mic channel with a spare unused channel on another layer eg channel 30 2) Set the desk's oscillator to out put white noise at odB to a spare mix buss eg bus 9 3) set the Source of channel 30 to be bus 9 so I gets the white noise. 4) Set channel 30 only to send post fader to a spare mix but eg bus 10 and nowhere else. 4) with a pair of cables loop your monitor out of the desk out of the back of the desk and back into a pair of spare inputs and route to another pair of spare main desk channels eg 31 & 32 5) Pair channels 31 & 32 and setup the compressor on theses channels as a ducker with the key source being bus 10 6) Send channels 31 & 32 pre fader only to bus's 11 & 12 7) in the desk routing send buses 11 & 12 out to whatever physical output you want to run your monitor speakers from. if all goes to plan then raising the mic fader will also raise the fader of the channel with the white noise on , this white noise then triggers the ducker of the channels that have the desks monitor out patched threw them
  4. Never got round finishing it
  5. The Lanbox is a fairly powerful controller when you get you head around how it works Are you 100% short that it is running as an artnet node and not running its own cues being triggered by the cms ? Is there any chance of you connecting a laptop running LC edit to the USB port on the lanbox and getting a few screen shots of the artnet config and possibly even sharing a backup of the box

    LED tape

One thing to note is your unlikely to get any definition to the shadows from such a defused soft source of light , If your going for the spooky forest type look you may be better side lighting possibly with some breakup gobos that the cast can pass in front and so cast shadows
  7. you coud use the basis of a Tecpro call light to switch a relay so coms audio is only passed when when the call button is pressed see http://www.blue-room.org.uk/index.php?showtopic=18840
  8. Something as simple as https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183767041392 Connected to the end of the loop Or get an alarm with a GSM auto dialer so you get a sms when it’s cut , so you know even when your not there

  10. For a screen of that size you would get away with the vx2 same as the 4 but with only two outs rather than 4
  11. The search term your looking for is “shotgun cat5 cable” One of the first results on google https://www.systemq.com/Product/CAB425
  12. Anyone free Wednesday July 31st afternoon for a couple of hours in central Edinburgh to assist with a small led screen build no experience needed , only 6sqm so no more than 2 to 3 hours tops , would be willing to pay something in the region of £50 Please email me at Ian@lightmedia.co.uk Thanks
  13. you need to switch from one bus to the other with either the take button or the T-bar and not cut between sauces on the same bus , this switcher only has two frame syncs one for each bus and not one on every input
  14. connect a phone across pins 1 & 3 on a coms line and you may be surprised what happens when the call button is pressed on a belt pack, then take a Dect phone that doesn't need power from the line
  15. going back to the old Avo method , The plot view in chamsys has a click to focus mode that works quite well if your plot is correct , see 40.3.1. Focus Functions in https://secure.chamsys.co.uk/help/documentation/magicq/ch40.html
