Good average price Hazer advice please

Hi,

Can anyone please recommend a good reliable hazer. It will be mostly for use in medium to small indoor venues. I currently have a couple of Chauvet Hurricanes however the haze/fan outputs are not as adjustable as I would like i.e. a small amount of haze constantly for the evening. It seems it is all or nothing so results in me having to keep switching on and off. Any ideas much appreciated.

We've had a unique 2 for years and it just keeps working. Ours needs a bit of TLC now, but it must over ten years old - only problem is a bit of a buzz from it. Use the right fluid and it just keeps churning out the haze. Arguably not as good as some, though, depending on your budget.

+1 for Alister's recommendation of the Unique. We've had two for some years, I think all that's needed done is a pump replaced on one of them at some point.

I've also been quite impressed by the Chauvet AmHaze. They're very quiet and minimum output is very low - ideal when you need just a touch of haze in the air, or in a small venue. It's quite convenient for us to have the hazer packaged inside a flightcase rather than having to buy a separate case.

The Smoke Factory Tourhazer2 is a good reliable machine and comes complete in a Flightcase but is certainly not cheap (smokefactoryuk@btinternet.com for details). I do some freelance repair work on Tourhazers and Uniques and can recommend both machines.

Unique is certainly a good bet. Have also had good experiences with the Base Hazer Pro from Hazebase - it's pretty much a Unique 2 built into its own flightcase. Not sure whether Hazebase still have UK distribution, though.
