  1. This is a great opportunity for someone who is at the start of their professional career to develop their experience with the Technical team of a world-renowned concert venue. Based at Snape Maltings Concert Hall, you will assist on the technical preparation and support of programmed events at Snape and other external venues – which have previously included churches, a multi-storey car park, a pop-up bandstand and the Pumphouse at Aldeburgh. You will already have some professional experience (which can include training) in a technical role within a theatre or concert hall. In particular you should have some experience of stage rigging and flying, stage carpentry and have an understanding of the relevant health and safety requirements. You will be a collaborative member of the team, a clear, articulate communicator and enjoy working with artists and backstage crew. Snape Maltings is based at the Snape Maltings Concert Hall, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the east coast of Suffolk. In addition to the world-renowned Concert Hall, Snape Maltings is also home to the Hoffmann Building and the Britten–Pears Building, both of which contain a mixture of rehearsal and performance spaces. We are known around the world for the international standard of our Aldeburgh Festival in June and our year-round programme of events including opera, choral works, orchestral concerts and contemporary dance as well as programmes and residencies for young musicians and established professionals. We run a Proms season during August with a wide range of musical styles including jazz, folk, classical, big band and world music. This is a permanent, full time post with a salary range of £18,000 – £19,000 A full Job Description, Application Form and our Equality & Diversity Form can be found on our web site - https://snapemalting...e-technician%22 To apply please send a covering letter along with a CV and completed application form to Helen Fletcher, HR Manager – hfletcher@snapemaltings.co.uk Closing date: Monday 2 September 2019
