Small scale ballet lighting

Hi all,

I've been lighting a ballet as a favour to a producer friend for the past 6 years each summer and due to other commitments it's now time for me to hand the baton over to someone else.

It's an annual event, occuring in the 2nd week of August each year. The venue is a hall in the village of St Margaret's at Cliffe near Dover and the show is an abridged version of a classical ballet, with a cast assembled from a local dance school with a couple of professional dancers leading.

There is a budget to hire in lighting, and in previous years I have specced a mostly LED moving light rig which suits this space perfectly. The show and space may be small but there is a history of very high production standards and I would be looking for whoever takes this on to maintain those. There is a fee of around £400 for the week all inclusive, so it would suit someone local, possibly at the start of their career who would like to build on their experience and maybe light some dance for the first time.

I'm looking for someone to take this on as an ongoing commitment. This year, you'd be assisting and shadowing me with the design and taking over to run the shows. Next year, it would be all yours.

Please either drop me a message back on here or via email to andrewellislx@me.com if this is of interest.
