Light Shaping Filters

I have not tried that specific filter but I did try some holographic film which was similar - basically a directional diffuser like brushed silk but with better throughput. My findings were -

There is a lot of scatter which knocks down the intensity significantly. It might have 92% transmission but a lot of that is widely scattered outside the main beam.

The film has to be a reasonable distance away from the LED source to work properly - the further away you get it the better it works.

There is a type of LED cyc light which seem to work very well, which have a strip of LEDs at the bottom firing up onto a linear asymmetrical reflector - e.g. Altman Spectra Cyc. There's no hot spot because the LEDs are not directly viewable.
