X32 Edit

That is really strange. They seem to have completely removed all download links for it from the entire website and all links on other sites just point back to the Behringer site. I wonder why. All the console firmware downloads are gone too.

possibly there may be an updated version coming and they are just changing the website... maybe try again in a few days

The main change seems to be finer granularity on the routing blocks, down from 8 to 2 (I think). The GUI is ‘modernised’ (but to an oldie like me it just looked more fussy rather than clearer).

MusiciansPro seem to have a preview:

I think I'm a bit off the mark with my routing comment. Two videos covers the change in more detail (preview software release):

"Blocks of 8 that are customisable". 168 inputs by 32 grid custom-patch.

OK thanks.

If you tick the legacy products box you can download the older firmware, but no X32 edit downloads anywhere. Has anyone got a copy of the installer I can use?

I've got a new laptop and an event coming up on Monday, and I could kind of do with being able to get my scene files sorted beforehand!

Regards

If you're itching for v4 of the X32/M32 firmware and related software utilities, Music Tribe have just released it:

This video (from MT rather than a third-party) give an overview of the changes (routing, GUI, Midas DP48 personal monitor support):

After the dog's dinner of the last few days on their website, this is very welcome, and the new firmware looks good. Obviously, the big win is the routing flexibility. But I'm already enjoying the UI update, with quite a few handy little tweaks - everything's just that bit more useable.

I'm incredibly impressed with this significant firmware update for a product that's been out for over seven years. I always said that the ubiquity of the X32 is one of its major assets - and that's what's driven this update, in my view, as the user base is large enough to justify the resource.

Have you seen the teasers for the "Wing"?

Of course. Looks potentially brilliant, but may well launch at a price quite a bit higher than the X32, which might disappoint people. That said, that strategy would make sense - the X32 can continue to sell for a while, while commanding a premium price for the newer product - and don't forget how much more the X32 was when it first launched...
