Senior AV Technician

The role

 

IT Services is seeking to appoint 2 Senior IT (AV) Support Technicians to work within the Teaching, Learning and Collaboration Spaces team (TLC). This role will be on a fixed term basis until December 17th 2021, to cover secondments within the TLC team.

 

What will you be doing?

You will be working as a senior audio visual (AV) technician in support of AV services across the University, providing technical expertise in delivering AV solutions for teaching spaces, meeting rooms and information screens.

The role involves working with colleagues and suppliers to design and arrange installation of AV systems across the University. Working with stakeholders, you will ensure that solution meet their needs and are installed to deadlines and within budget.

You will provide technical support for audio visual services across the University, responding to urgent requests to resolve unforeseen faults, particularly in teaching spaces. You will also be expected to understand and fix more complex problems with AV systems.

 

You should apply if

You have been responsible for supporting technical services.

You have demonstrable experience of specifying and installing industry-standard AV equipment for presenting to audiences.

You have experience of liaising with stakeholders and planning the design and installation of technical solutions.

You can manage your own workload and meet multiple deadlines.

You are proactive and take the initiative when working on projects or with new technologies

Closing Date - 29th July 2021

Salary - £30,046 - £33,797
