  1. well, if we're talking 'classic' t-shirts..... (picture courtesy of Mr. R. Halliday, taken at the Galaxy day back in 2017)
  2. If memory serves me correctly, it's possible to alter the position of the yoke along its channel (within the extruded side of the body) and therefore the centre of gravity. This might help adjust for any drooping? just a thought.
  3. Hmmm. I wonder why ETC, Strand, Zero88, etc all went to the expense of developing dimmer/relay racks when automated and then LED fixtures became prevalent? To sell more racks or to provide the most sensible solution for not blowing up their customers lights? I would echo other posts here and suggest that the relative cost of switched hard power would outweigh the cost of a blown Martin mover (with potentially more devastating H&S consequences).
  4. It was actually October 1995 when Rank took the decision to get rid of the Precision Industries division (Strand, Cintel, Taylor-Hobson, etc) along with Pinewood Studios and concentrate on Bingo, Casinos and Leisure. Strand had actually had its best year ever (for both turnover and profit) in 1994, which may have contributed to the sale decision, as previously Strand had been the tax-loss division of Rank, happy that it didn't make a profit so that it could offset the losses against its corp tax.
  5. Could you clear out those control room cupboards and lighting store shelves? I'm looking for old (especially vintage) lighting, sound, AV, and rigging catalogues and datasheets, and am prepared to make an offer depending upon what you have. Not so interested in trade mags, as many of these are already available online. Many thanks, Richard
