Salary: £450 per week. All travel and accommodation plus PD's will be provided when touring outside of Merseyside.

Duration: 18th February - 20th April (Possible one week Extension)

Closing Date: 14/01/19

 

Project Summary:

Technician with a good knowledge of both sound and lighting required for community education tour taking place from 18th February - 20th April 2019.(Including Rehearsals)

The tour is split in to two halves, each touring a one hour long piece of drama to a variety of venues for three weeks each. The Company consists of 6 performers and the technician.

Dates are as follows:

 

EVE'S STORY

Rehearsals 18th Feb ( 1 Week )

Touring 25th Feb - 15th March

 

TERRIERS

Rehearsals 18th March (1 Week)

 

Touring 25th March - 20th April

 

(All Rehearsals will take place in Liverpool. Performances are Monday to Friday, during the day and may include multiple venues in one day.)

 

This role will report to the Director and Production Manager The successful candidate will act as a technician for Terriers and Eve's Story on tour and also support the production during the rehearsal period.

 

Responsibilities will include:

Setting up and operating the show including lighting and sound

Participating in get-ins and get-outs including safe and efficient van loading/unloading

Overseeing the use and maintenance of the set, costumes, props and technical equipment

Completing daily/weekly show reports

Ensuring the Health & Safety of all company members at all times on tour through safe working practice

Ensuring good communication with staff Liverpool's Royal Court in order to ensure the smooth running of the tour

Maintaining close day to day contact with the Production Manager on all management and technical matters

Attending tour meetings and debrief / evaluation meetings

 

The above is an outline of duties required however the technician will be responsible for any other duties considered appropriate to the post.

 

Personal Specification: Proven track record in similar position

Experience in rigging and operating lighting and sound equipment

The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

The ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks

Good experience of computers and computerised lighting and sound desks

Experience of set, costume, prop maintenance Accommodation and travel is provided while touring outside Merseyside.

 

Preference will be given to Merseyside based technicians who we can work with on an ongoing basis both in Community Education and other projects at Liverpool's Royal Court
