Venue Technician

Omnibus are seeking to recruit a personable and proactive Venue Technician to operate and manage all elements of the technical department and assist with duty management of some events for the front of house team on shifts.

 

This role is full time (37 hours) per week working on a varying shift pattern which involves evenings and weekends.

 

Omnibus is a theatre housed in a converted Victorian library overlooking Clapham Common, London SW4. The building is home to a 110-seat studio theatre, a café/bar and two performance and rehearsal spaces which host a diverse and high quality programme of work.

 

The successful candidate would be expected to manage the technical and maintenance requirements of a busy receiving and producing house, including get ins and outs, technical support and operating LX, sound and AV for events where required. They will also cover duty management shifts for evening and weekend events as well as some daytime hours to facilitate logistical planning.

 

The role will suit someone with a passion for technical theatre and venue management within an arts environment. This could be an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate to hone their skills and gain invaluable experience of working in a producing and receiving house with a variety of different scale organisations and arts genres.
