    X32 Problem

Used to know a guy who did lot of CRT monitor repairs, the low ceiling above his bench was peppered with chopper transistor shrapnel.
  3. Yeggi.com , STL search engine , as usual, case of keyword bingo, lot free, some paid https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/miniatures/memorabilia/patt-123-vintage-strand-electric-stage-light Tinkercad, online designer, more powerful than it first appears, easier than Fusion 360. SketchUp, be aware of reversed faces, it's a surface modeler not a solid modeller
  4. If you've ever had an Italian vehicle, would understand why Clay Paky made a selling point of electronics by Pulsar....
  5. These style of Draper's are decent, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304342583969 Wera if needing them a lot.
  6. CAD feeding into CNC,laser cutting, 3D printing have made short runs of items lot more feasible.Don't need to amortise tooling over long runs. Disagree that batch manufacturing loses opportunity for improvement, it encourages it , as it's a change of gcode and process and the next part is the new design. Not a debate on wether need £30K on a redesign of a tool. It's not got volume of car or domestic appliance manufacture, it's also especially at moment, a very fast moving market. What was production life of Pat 23, 30 odd years? Those very expensive moulds paid for themselves. Now an LED fixture over 5 years old looks a bit antique. Here's a look at another end of Chinese manufacturing, flex PCBs, now that's what I call investment

  8. Plaztazote and Ethafoam , typically LD45, are the big brands in closed cell foam.
  9. FR tinsel apparently rare East Midlands Designer Outlet, South Normanton, pics from FB, about week ago
  10. Lamp is G4 or GY6.35 base halogen, plug is actually a speaker DIN plug but common on some Low Voltage plug in lighting supplies, for 50W halogen lamp, something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Finish-12V-Low-Voltage/dp/B071WWDLDW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=J9SNVBGXPJFI&keywords=plug+in+50W+halogen+transformer&qid=1698935474&sprefix=plug+in+50w+halogen+transformer%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1 Need to change connector. Using LED replacement lamp, much smaller power supply needed like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Supply-Adapter-100-240V-Transformer-Connector/dp/B09NBTBLH4/ref=mp_s_a_1_9?crid=17UOOMTCBQ13T&keywords=12V+transformer+plug+for+lights&qid=1698935854&sprefix=12v+transformer+plug+for+lights%2Caps%2C109&sr=8-9

    Image Projector

Griven make a couple of LED gobo projectors https://www.griven.com/en/products-filter/group,image_projectors Used to make the 150w CDM Goboclip
  12. Individual control or just the whole string? Individual, www.awesomeledlist.com commercial systems tab Whole string, decent dimmable golf balls, always had good luck with Philips brand lamps.
  13. Thinking just replacing the V+ supply lines, XT60 2 pole, MT60 3 pole , popular RC connectors easy to find.Anderson Powerpole with 15A contacts , easily solderable, 1 to many poles. Silicone grease http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/silicone.htm
  14. Is that an unused V+ pad beside connector? Wiring probably CCA with 18AWG insulation....22AWG conductor. Replace with copper at decent guage direct to PCB with XT60 connector pair in middle. Wipe of silicone grease on mating parts of connectors and around seals does help.
