Small Format Lighting Control

Just after a bit of advice as a noise boy my knowledge of up to date lighting desks is a bit shady.

I'm looking to get a small format desk to run 20 LED fixtures, a mix of bars, pars and basic movers. The space is a pre-production studio and we are looking to do clinics and private function gigs, so we need the stock rock and roll groups on faders and a queue stack for the more showy type things. The last desk I spent any hours on was a congo and then an Ion which are a little out of budget and over kill for this gig. We aren't looking for a thomann special but not ETC money; somewhere in the middle if there is one. HELP

ChamsysQ is free to use software requiring only a laptop and dongle. Chamsys can supply the dongle at about £15 delivered. Only down side is: limited to one universe and 5 hours continuous operation. after 5 hours just switch off and start again.

The need to control movers, however basic, kind of locks out the Colorsource and the one I was about to suggest, the Jands CL.

The MA dot2 is nice, but probably too expensive. It's up at ETC ION prices.

In this "middle ground", the Lightshark is...interesting. I don't know anyone that's using it in regular use yet, but it's surprisingly powerful at the price point, and has a clever method for providing screens.

I think you have just described the Zero 88 FLX desk! There are a few options available depending on requirements and budget, but I think you need go no further.
