  1. Just replaced a lamp module on an customers Optoma EH1020 DLP, and replaced a MOSFET on the driver board. All working fine now but the base of the lamp appears to be omitting a bright orange glow which is clearly visible through the front grill. It looks like the base of the lamp is heating up to biblical proportions and looks like a bar fire element! I'm hoping that the glow is caused by the silicon band which runs round the lamp itself as part of the lamp module. But to put my mind at rest, does anyone know if this is typical of Optoma projectors? I haven't got access to a similar projector for comparison. Projector runs as expected, no lamp or temp warnings. Replaced with genuine Osram lamp in compatible module. Thanks in advance for any advice on offer.
