Technical Instructor: Sound (with Duty responsibility)

 

Salary £27,146 inclusive of OLWA

Rose Bruford College is a leading provider of specialist, vocational BA degree programmes in all aspects of theatre and live performance. This post has been created to contribute to the College's new Centre for Digital Production and its new degree in Audio Production (Technology / Music / Sound Design).

 

As the successful candidate, you will be part of a team of Technical Instructors providing technical and logistical support for the College's teaching, production and related activities, and the supervision and technical instruction of students. You will have a broad range of knowledge, skills and experience including:

 

· Sound for theatre, music and/or recorded media

 

· Digital audio workflows and tools, such as QLab, ProTools and Logic X

 

· Theatre or live event production

 

You will be able to balance the conflicting demands of a busy working environment, and have a strong commitment to working with and supporting students, as well as being organised, reliable and proactive. The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, and to bring enthusiasm and dedication to the role, is essential.

 

The post is full time, 35 hours per week, with some Saturday working. The College offers an attractive package, with 35 days holiday, plus bank holidays, and a salary scale rising to £30,260 with satisfactory performance.
