  1. Have you reseated the processor? They have a habit of popping when moved. I have a Working 520 looking for a home and know where there is a 300 series looking for a home. (I also have a couple of nodes that the RSC adapted for use in their venues)
  2. If not gone I would be interested
  3. Just adding/agreeing to a lot of the above as someone who specialises in Amdram sound. 1) I'd go no lower than trantec as the cheap systems don't tend to be strong enough to survive more than 2 showruns. 2) second hand Senn stuff is certainly worth going with as you can get the spares and they tend to survive shows better. Also the mic connection locks! (so useful for amdram) Im slowly buiilding up my Senn kit with G3s on CH38 and g2s on CH70 and these have survived multiple kids shows with pack swapping. My current top out is 14-16 mics as the desk I use is 20 across so have DCA room aswell.
  4. Love that its been updated and is my main program for sound effects.
  5. Oddly a question we had recently, sadly didn't find the answer online so hope someone knows
  6. In the community/amdram world the brand name Zero 88 has a lot of weight to it as a mark of solid value with many older consoles and dimmers still going. As said above, the idea of searching the same company that makes top flight movers for a reliable value desk isn't going to sit right.
  7. I know our local theatre had a Congo Kid up for sale for a while and it didn't make much.
  8. I had this happen on an Amdram charity fundraiser and got taken to task by the local papers reviewer for ruining the nights experience. Oh well, these things are sent to try us.
  9. The D25 to analogue patch lead would be useful if no one else claims it as part the lot.
  10. I have seen alot of mention of PSU problems in the owner forums but they are often on desks that have been toured hard or on 24 hrs a day. Its still a reliable desk for the money.
  11. Interesting thread 🙂 Mine all have different channel counts so explains why.
  12. CFA is a such a good piece of theatre. Although nothing out of the ordinary in terms of tech (although the sound side is more complex than first looks), it is the simplicity that helps give it the impact.
  13. Sadly cant help but good to see one getting some love.
  14. As above, I do hope that Z88 keep their own remit and team. In the small scale/lower budget market there arent many things that come close to their desks. Of course if this means strand desks start to improve...
