Unique 1 hazer problem

Hey all, we have a unique 1 haze machine which is working…..up to a point ! We have to put it on full tilt (on DMX) to get it to output haze then pull it back to where it’s continuously putting out a steady stream, haze on around 25% and fan on about 50%, after a short while, it’ll stop outputting haze and we have to fire it of full again. Any ideas why this should be ?

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for some advice and technical guidance.
I need to create a 20 x 20 meter smoke/fog curtain outdoors, lasting about 5 minutes, in order to project video onto it.

What methods, equipment, or approaches would you recommend for this kind of setup?

Flame trays / Bars

Hi All

Looking for some sort of flame bar / tray. Hopefully self contained rather than having to deal with large propane

After some flame effects in our panto for a number. Needs to be easily controlalable.

All obvious usual suspects I think are going to be big. Galaxis and lemaitre stuff will just need too much height. We have 4 metres from the stage to the ceiling. Would ideally like to sink whatever it is into the stage so the units are hidden from view.

Tried ER productions who have a nice product for it, but aren't getting back to me currently.

Have considered pyro, but from the single use aspect and cost, it doesn't really do what I need it to.

Any companies with the right sort of kit, or any other ideas would be appreciated. 🙂

The manual is not very informative. Does anyone have a list of error flashes for the "Power Lamp".

Steady flashes appear to be heating up ?

On may indicated ready, but I have two faulty units so have not got there yet ?

One Short, one long indicate fluid fault?

I have been informed that Antari have bypassed the fluid sensor in later models due to opaque fluid tubing.

Help! Unique 2.1 hazer not producing haze

Hi All,

My unique 2.1 has stopped outputting haze for some reason. Upon further inspection when in manual mode with the pump set to 99%, I am only getting a continuous 32-45v from the two black cables supplying power to the fluid pump (I have purchased a new fluid pump but that has made no difference). Is this the correct voltage? as the rating on the pump is 230v. After running the hazer for a few minutes the thermal cut out on the heating element cuts out. The only thing I haven't checked is the air pump.

Could this be the cause of the tripping and no haze output?

Hope you can help, any suggestions appreciated.

Antari 101 Blowing Fuses

Hello,

I've recently been trying to get an old Antari 101 Low Fog Machine up and running, its Heater works, Pump Works, Thermal Sensor works and it seems to warm up ok, then after around 5 min it blows the mains fuse (the one by the IEC). The Green light never lights on the controller.

The PCB inside seems all good, nice and clean with no damage and the internal glass fuse doesn't blow. Please anybody got any idea's as to where to start?

So I need some new power supplies, I know that they're 18V 1A (ish), but can anybody tell me that size the barrel connector is? Obviously its 5.5mm external but is is 2.1 or 2.5mm internal?

I have one of these with dead main board but it is not the usual 103020B like in the Magnum 800 for which I have a schematic but a 103022B PCB as found in the Glaciator X-Stream (103022A), the service manual of which does not have the schematic.

Has anyone got any info on this board?

Antari Low Smoke Pump Failure

I first looked at the problem during lockdown but now I am up and running again I though I would revisit the problem. I think I have narrowed the problem down to the fluid pump not working. Its possible its seized up. Having taken it apart I actually think the coil might have failed, not sure thoughA replacement pump, model is SP-35a (m24050) List price seems to be maybe £80. Does anyone know of a cheap replacement. I think they are used in many devices ie Chauvet

Hi All,

Having run pantos for years with le maitre products for all kinds of effects, the question has been asked as to whether spark generators can be used.

With the cost of pyros ever increasing I can see the benefits, such as these on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186746689575

This, however, comes with a certain level of nervousness regarding cheap kit from China that potentially isn't as safe as suggested in the advert. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with these units or similar?

Have I killed our hazer?

Hi, can someone help me work out whether I've killed our hazer or, at the very least, helped it on its way?

We've got a Antari Z350 fazer which has stopped outputting. It ran dry but, having filled it up, it's not drawing the fluid through. I disconnected the output of the pump to see whether it was blocked there and it wasn't spurting, and possibly wasn't making its normal "pumping" sound. I then tried to help it on its way by using a syringe to gently pull fluid through the pump which worked, so no complete upstream blockage.

Also, when I used the syringe to push fluid as if I was the pump, it was coming through fine, so I don't think the heater is blocked.

Do you think it running dry has caused a problem in the pump, which I have then potentially made worse by pulling the fluid through, or should I be looking elsewhere before buying a new pump?

Has anyone had any success putting either temperature monitoring on a pea souper or actual control?

I'd say something that would securely be glue-able to the exterior to either give a temp readout or preferably be a thermostat linkable to the 240 supply ...

Unique 2.1 overheating

I have recently found a broken Unique 2.1 hazer in my theatre. It needed a new air pump which I sourced from look solutions recommended replacement parts and (I think) successfully installed.

However, when I run the unit, haze comes out, the fluid pump works, the air pump functions, but the heat exchanger gets red hot and trips the thermal fuse. I checked the wires at their input to make sure they weren't touching and found no issues. What else might cause this problem?
