The Tandberg Radio Factory was founded in 1933. Over many years the name was well known for Audio tape decks and hi fi products. In the UK distribution and parts were handled by the Farnell/Tandberg subsidiary of the Farnell company. Now Tandberg are best known for video-conferencing (Tandberg) and data storage (Tandberg Data).
