SMPTE timecode can be at 24, 25 or 30 fps. The LTC serial data stream is a self-clocking Manchester Code at a nominal baud rate of 2,000 bps (at 25 fps). The data is made up from 80-bits which are actually treated as ten 8-bit bytes. The 80-bits are transmitted continuously and each packet will be transmitted back-to-back with the previous packet.
