Moving mirrors have a mirror which moves to redirect the light, however the fixture will move much faster than a moving head lantern. More common on smaller, cheaper, disco fixtures the beams can move very quickly owing to the small movement required to move the mirror between two points, compared to the motion required to move a full head.
