MIDI Yoke is a set of virtual MIDI cables for your computer. It creates a series of patch points to allow you to link different pieces of MIDI software running on your machine together, for example you could configure a PC based lighting desk to output MIDI on MIDI Yoke Port 1 In, then if you configure a sound playback system to accept MIDI input on MIDI Yoke Port 1 Out, the data from the lighting desk will reach the playback system without having to plug any physical MIDI cables in. It is designed for Windows 3.1x, 95, 98 and Me primarily, although there is also (unsupported) beta software for NT, 2000 and XP (which some people have been using successfully for a few years).
