This describes a cable type using harmonised cable coding. Commonly used as an extension cable for lighting equipment due to its toughness and abrasion resistance. It is sometimes contracted to H07 and is also mistakenly referred to as Tough Rubber Sheath (TRS). H07RN-F is insulated in rubber but sheathed in polychloroprene (Neoprene).

This cable is generally manufactured to BS7919

It is Heavy Duty Flexible as defined by BS7540-1

Note: BS7671:2008 Recommends a minimum CSA of 2.5mm for 16A cables for use with caravans etc. see fig 708 page 192 of the standard.
