The Frog range from Zero88 is the mid-scale desk, sitting comfortably between the Jester and Frog 2 desks. The range features DMX output, show storage on 3.5" floppy disks, a VGA Text monitor and on the Leap Frog and above, the option to fit a SMPTE/MIDI control interface. There are five desks in the Frog range:
The Range
Frog
The Frog, the most basic of the Frog range, features a 24/48 generic two preset fader bank, twelve submasters and a memory stack. This desk has no capacity for moving lights.
Fat Frog
The next step in the Frog range is the Fat Frog, which in addition to the Frog features also has the capability of controlling 12 fixtures.
Leap Frog
The Leap Frog features 24 fixtures instead of the Fat Frogs 12.
Bull Frog
The Bull Frog has exactly double the capacity of the Fat Frog - 48/96 generics, 24 fixtures and 24 submasters, and also adds a second universe of DMX output.
Mambo Frog
The Mambo Frog is the fixtures only version of the Frog range, allowing 96 fixtures to be patched to two DMX universes. If required, dimmers can be patched, but require the use of one fixture.
Phantom Frog
All of the Frog range can be emulated on a Windows based PC with the use of the Phantom Frog offline editor. This is available on the Zero88 website
Frog Box
The Frog Box is a replay unit for the Frog range, allowing show files which were stored on any of the Frog range (excluding Frog 2) to be replayed without the use of a console. The Frog Box rack-mounts into a standard 19" Rack and supports two universes of DMX output. These are commonly used in architectural installations where a rack-mount solution is tidier and a console is not required. The box also features SMPTE/MIDI control options.
Frog Screen
Frog Box can be connected to a Frog Screen, which enables remote access to memories and sequences using a touch screen interface.
Software Versions
The latest software version for the Frog range is version 10.12
