The Frog 2 is the largest of the desks by manufacturer Zero88. It has 4 universes of DMX output, giving a total of 2048 Desk Channels. Multiple simultaneous playbacks via faders and a virtual playback stack give versatile control of all fixtures. Fully tracked programming is seperated down to single parameter level, with individually assignable fade and delay times for each parameter of each fixture. User definable faders, keys and screen layouts (via two XGA ports) make the desk fully customisable. The fixture information library is stored internally on the desk, meaning users can automatically patch their fixtures without having to find the fixture profile first. Show storage is via both USB and an integrated CD-writer.
The Frog 2 previewed at PLASA 2004 and features an integrated touch screen. Other onboard hardware includes a Cat 5 network port for network control via Art-Net and SMPTE, MIDI and ChilliNet connectors too. As with all Zero88 control desks, software upgrades are available free of charge from the Zero88 website.
